Stop 1: Batu Caves, Gombak
The magnificent Batu Caves are one of the top tourist attractions in Malaysia. this 100–year–old temple
features idols and statues erected inside the main caves and around it. Incorporated with interior
limestone formations said to be around 400 million years old, the temple is considered an important
religious landmark by Hindus.

In 1885, a young pewtersmith named Yong Koon arrived in Malaya from the Chinese port of Shantou,
armed with little more than a set of tools and a determination to succeed. Today, Yong Koon’s humble
enterprise is Royal Selangor, the world’s foremost name in quality pewter.
