Embark on a captivating journey into the heart of Borneo with our Half-Day Sepilok Orangutan & Sun Bear Tour. This excursion is perfect for wildlife enthusiasts and families looking to explore one of the most unique ecosystems on the planet. Your adventure begins at the renowned Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, where orphaned and injured orangutans are brought to be rehabilitated so they can return to forest life. At this globally acclaimed sanctuary, you will have the rare opportunity to witness these magnificent creatures up close in a setting that mimics their natural habitat.

What to Expect
- Pick up from your hotel in Sandakan and drive approximately forty minutes to the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Center (SOURC). After registration, follow the guided trail that will take you to the Feeding Platform, an opportunity for you to explore the trees of the lowland rainforest.
- Watch the Orang Utan feeding.
- watch a scheduled video program about Orang Utans and SOURC (25 minutes) at the Nature Education Center and visit the center’s Exhibition Hall.
- Take a short leisurely stroll to the nearby Sun Bear Conservation Center to see the world’s smallest bear in its natural environment.
- After the tour we depart from Sepilok and return to Sandakan, transfer back to our respective hotels.

Itinerary:
- Pickup from the hotel in Sandakan.
- Enjoy a scenic forty-minute drive to the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre.
- After registration, we visit to Outdoor Nursery, for a closer look of the younger orang utans. Then, follow a guided boardwalk that will lead you to the Feeding Platform, a chance for you to explore the lowland rainforest trees.
- Witness the feeding of orangutans.
- After Sepilok, take a leisurely walk to the nearby Sun Bear Conservation Centre to see the world’s smallest bear in its natural environment.
- After these amazing tours, we’ll depart from Sepilok and return to Sandakan, where you’ll be transferred back to your respective hotels
